Objective
The Scott Township Trustee’s Office is responsible for providing life sustaining financial and in kind assistance to the community’s residents from all walks of life who find themselves in need of temporary help. State laws clearly define what public aid can be granted and the process to access those services. Services are provided through purchase orders (vouchers) for shelter (rent), utilities (gas, electric, water), food, medical, and burial.
In Scott Township, the Fire Department represents the largest segment of our expended resources. We provide fire protection, medical services, public education, inspections, and aid in other types of emergencies for persons and property in the area of the Scott Township Fire Territory, which includes Scott Township, German Township, Armstrong Township and the Town of Darmstadt.
Application Process
Applications for assistance are processed on a first-come-first-served basis between the hours of 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday, at our office conveniently located at 1135 Hoing Road. Appointments are highly encourage.
