
Scott Township Fire & EMS provides fire protection, medical services, public education, inspections, and aid in other types of emergencies for persons and property in the area of the Scott Township Fire Territory, which includes Scott Township, the Town of Darmstadt, and Armstrong Township. In addition, we also provide assistance to other agencies during times of need through our mutual aid agreements.

Our department strives to be trained, equipped, and ready to respond to:
• Fire emergencies, including those involving homes, businesses, grass/brush, and vehicles.
• Medical emergencies requiring both basic and advanced life support.
• Rescue needs such as vehicle extrication.
• Fire prevention activities, including public education, investigations, inspections, and incident preplanning.

Scott Township Fire & EMS is a combination fire department made up of dedicated individuals working together to provide these services to the community. Currently, the department employs 24 full-time personnel, 16 part-time personnel, and 14 volunteers. We are the only fire department in the Tri-State area to provide advanced life support ambulance services to our residents. Our department was established in 1956, and as our community has grown, so have we. Scott Township Fire & EMS currently operates a total of three fire stations that span our district from Darmstadt to Daylight, with our headquarters located on Baseline Rd.

During 2019, our department responded to 1,356 emergency incidents, consisting of 188 fire incidents,1,000 medical emergencies, and 168 other incident types.
